“So, what do you do for work?”

“So, what do you do for work?” is a question I always struggle to answer.
What do I say? I’m a COO? CFO? Office Lady?
”Uh, well… I’m mostly mom.” Is what I usually reply. But eventually I add that my husband is a potter and I do “all the other stuff” for our business. Oh. And some bookkeeping.
And Zachris? Well. He’s a potter- that’s the easy part. He’s also a screenprinter. Graphic designer. Trumpet player. Wood-splitter (stacker. hauler. re-stacker. fire-starter). Baker, chef, dishwasher….

So you can imagine how life went askew this fall when he broke his collarbone.

Yikes.

And yet, amid painful and trying weeks of recovery, a years-long dream was realized: an artist event at our home studio.
October 26th we hosted the first “Artists in Autumn” event at our house, which was warmly received by friends and neighbors, and enjoyed by participating artists. It was a great encouragement to us.
To sum up the past six months, I will borrow a snippet from this month’s newsletter (did you miss out? Join the list here .):

Recover from broken collar bone
Make pots like crazy
Sell at our first-ever Artists in Autumn, hosted at our home studio
Make more pots
Have an amazing Winter Walkthrough sale, hosted at our home studio
Meet many lovely folk at Enger Lofts’ Small Business Saturday
Make more pots

MAKE MORE POTS

THANK YOU for your support of our small business! 2024 was a record year for us, despite many set-backs. Thank you for purchasing and sharing our work!
